Honesty and Integrity

Today's announcement by HP that it would absorb Voodoo PC entirely into it's consumer line has rattled a few sabers in the industry. Just 2 years ago, Rahul Sood was in a tough spot where he needed to maintain his image, but at the same time begin the integration into HP. Quotes such as the following were the standard:
You'll never see a Voodoo exclusive machine in any discount retail store, anywhere on this planet - unless by some miracle a customer of the discount retail store happens to own a Voodoo and he or she and carries it in into the store, trips and falls while walking by the computer section - and the system flies through the air and lands on the shelf.
Fast forward to today's announcement, and we are seeing that the whole idea of keeping Voodoo in Calgary was a total farce. From the beginning, the idea was to squeeze as many sales out of Voodoo as possible and then pull the plug when it made sense. While this is how we should all expect large corporations to act, it may have surprised some of you who bought an Omen under the premise that your experience would be the same as those who bought machines before the sell out.
More importantly, we've heard "It is just the next step of integration into the business units that deliver Compaq Presario and [HP] Pavilion" from HP, which I read to mean this was planned all along. While this is a hair of speculation, I believe that Rahul was fully aware of the plan to integrate his company from Day 1, and merely put up a front to keep his sales coming in.
This type of thing is what sets the men apart from the animals, in my opinion. Some people are so focused on making a dollar, that they forget about the people that they are affecting, just as a lion will eat his fill of a catch without thinking of the other animals that are starving around him. Men should be able to look to a greater good.
I was raised to take the Golden Rule a step futher, and put others infront of myself whenever possible. This may mean that my life is a little difficult at times, in fact it is downright hard sometimes, but I know that I have helped as many people as possible. This motivation is actually why I started Nordic PC in the first place. I was sick of companies like Dell and HP outsourcing their support to save money at the cost of their customer's suffering. I was also sick of companies like Apple charging way more than their hardware is worth.
I know that a lot of people will read this and simply dismiss it as a sales pitch, and that's fine. I'm not here to pressure you into anything. However, if you are interested in a different kind of computer experience, I am here to help you.
Finally, a big shame on you Rahul Sood for your actions that hurt the people who trusted you.
