Why SLI?
Nordic PC recommends SLI in two scenarios. The first is for a gamer who has any monitor that uses a resolution greater than 1080p. To push 2 million pixels out every 1/60th of a second, you must have more power than even the fastest card on the market. Nordic PC also recommends SLI Technology for the ability to upgrade your system easily. Say a game comes that needs more power that what you've got. You can either buy a new high-end card, or just double-up for less than you paid for the first one, and probably be faster than any single card. It just makes since for gamers.
How does it work?
SLI uses three pieces to make intense graphics happen:
- NVIDIA SLI-Ready Graphics Cards
- NVIDIA SLI-Ready Motherboards
- NVIDIA SLI-Ready Power Supplies
Machines come either SLI-Ready or SLI-Enabled from Nordic PC. SLI-Ready machines ship with everything you need to install a second card, and are designed with that upgrade path in mind. SLI-Enabled PC's are already fitted with the components, and have been tested with the latest titles to ensure their compatibility.
What else should I look for?
Look for this logo on games to fully utilize SLI Technology.
